The aim of the project
⦿ The aim of the project is to calculate the circumference of the Earth, reproducing Eratosthenes historical experiment.
⦿ This project is based on a scientific collaboration using a Collaborative measure
Each school needs the measurement of a partner school to obtain the final result.
⦿ Schools from 4 continents are involved.

1-This objective mainly implements knowledge, skills and attitudes related to competence in mathematics, science, and technology.
- Apply mathematical thinking (calculation and geometry) to solve a problem
- Acquire scientific knowledge and methodology (observation and experimentation) to explain natural world
- Use instruments (ruler, protractor, try square, plumb line, spirit level ) to experiment with a technological device (gnomon) in order to acquire scientific data.
2-This project promotes a variety of learning approaches and environments, including the digital competence.
