STRATEGIC GAMES/ BRAIN TEASERS

Strategic games and brain teasers play a crucial role in the development of preschool children, offering a blend of fun and education that enhances their cognitive growth (Willis, 2008). These activities stimulate critical thinking, problem-solving, and decision-making skills, which are essential for young minds. Engaging in such games helps children learn to plan ahead, recognize patterns, and develop patience and persistence. Moreover, these games promote social interaction and cooperation when played with peers, fostering communication skills and teamwork. The early introduction to strategic thinking and mental challenges sets a strong foundation for future academic and life skills, making brain teasers and strategic games invaluable in early childhood education (Altun et al., 2016; Altun, 2019).
