After having collaborated successfully for 3 years on the Twin Space, VONK Purmerend in The Netherlands and Collège Jules-Ferry in Vichy, France have decided to create a new project called: A Greener Future Beyond Borders. The aim is to gain knowledge of the differences between our cultures by focusing on several SDGs such as: number 3 “Good health and well-being, number 12 “responsible consumption and production”, number 15 “life on land” and number 17 “partnerships for the goals”. Students can also learn about making gardens more sustainable, cooking and eating local food and raise awareness of the importance of a healthy environment. In addition, they will reflect upon their future studies and how to become eco-friendly and happy citizens. By the end of the school year, the Dutch students will come and visit College Jules Ferry as a conclusion of the project, to share their feelings and explore Vichy with their partners. The French students will have at heart to make them discover how their school and city is greener beyond borders.
