3rd Experimental Model Kindergarden (Aristotle University) in Thessaloniki, GREECE

Teacher: Eirini Mousiadou

  • In December we had not so much time due to Christmas preparations in class. Also in January, after the christmas holidays, we need time for childrens “come back”.
  • So, these two months we worked mostly on a lot of graphical representations related to computational thinking. We also played “Twister”, which proved very effective for the children engaging the concept of selection and sequencing. Practically, we worked the previous concepts deeper and at more difficult levels.
  • The children mainly worked during their free playful zone (9-9.30 am) and worked on Computational Thinking without digital media, as shown in the accompanying material.

We worked in selection in programming during D

est

ecember and January sessions. Kids loved this activity as shown in the accomoanied material

To explore the concept of selection in programming, we played a card game with our robots. Cristina, Elsa, Mitó and José Luís teachers (EB1 Boa-Fé school, ELVAS, Portugal).
