Be the Change! Be Eco-friendly!

On 23rd May we hosted three teachers from Finland for job shadowing experience. During our English class, we explained what eTwinning is, talking about the project. Some students, with the help of the teacher, showed the Finnish teachers the Twinspace, its pages and the activities of the project. We also talked about our common products and the Acrostic Poem. The colleagues were very surprised and they really appreciated the opportunities the project gave to work in mixed international groups. This was only the 1st phase of the dissemination that will also be made with the other teachers at school and with parents through the pubblication of the project on our school website.

Today, attention is on Climate action, the 13th of the 17 Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) defined by the United Nations under the 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development. Projects focusing on Climate of Action are carried out in all schools. Our project, which was managed by Italy, Turkey and Portuguese, “Be the Change and Be Eco-Friendly” (Be the Change itself and Become an Environmentally Friendly Individual), started in February and was completed at the end of May. The aim in this project is to help students get acquainted with climate change, to make them understand how global warming is sensitizing the Earth and to encourage them to take action to make the world a better place.

Dear all, I celebrate 9 May eTwinning day,

Twinspace is an interactive platform where all project members can work in cooperation and in maximum interaction. It is like an online classroom in which both teachers and students communicate, collaborate and interact and exchange information. That is, it is a lively community and creates a safe space for you to work with your peers. You have access 24 hours a day and this twinspace gives you these  ownerships. Enjoy eTwinning Day.

Last week students began to work on Cryptpad to write the Acrostic Poem that will be our common product. They enjoyed the activity !

 On 22 April the partecipants celebrated Earth Day 2023 writing some stickies on a common wall and using linoit.com. They all collaborated to fill in the wall saying how they take action to save the earth.

All the students gave their contribution to expand the Word Cloud writing words from the phrase Climate Change. They used Mentimeter.com.
