Description

Teachers often struggle to keep pace with rapid advancements in Information and Communication Technologies (ICTs), particularly in the burgeoning field of Artificial Intelligence (AI). AI promises a revolution in education, but teachers need proper training to leverage its potential effectively. This course introduces AI in education, providing strategies to integrate AI as an ally in teaching. 

Participants will explore the benefits and risks of AI in the classroom and gain hands-on experience with tools like ChatGPT for language practice, AI assessment tools, and AI applications. Additionally, the course will guide participants in creating student contracts for AI-generated content and discuss ethical considerations in using AI in education. By the end of the course, participants will be equipped with practical knowledge and strategies for using AI tools, creating effective learning environments, and addressing ethical issues in AI implementation.

This course aims to enable participants to:

  • Comprehend the benefits and ethical implications of using AI in education;
  • Become acquainted with various AI tools and applications available for educational purposes;
  • Develop skills in using Chat GPT, AI-based assessments, and quest-based language learning, along with personalized feedback;
  • Learn to integrate AI tools into lessons and activities to enhance student engagement and learning outcomes;
