Description

The Educational Shared Leadership course targets school leaders, including headteachers, deputy heads, and development teams. It focuses on practical strategies for evidence-based management, collaborative decision-making, and strategic school planning.
Participants explore shared leadership principles, innovative management models, and the use of the PDCA cycle to enhance institutional effectiveness. Learning combines theory with real-life applications through group work, case studies, and simulations. The course strengthens leadership competencies in communication, teamwork, and organisational learning while fostering a culture of shared responsibility and continuous improvement.
Aligned with Erasmus+ priorities for innovation and inclusion, it equips participants to lead sustainable school transformation.

Learning objectives

By the end of the course, participants will be able to:

Methodology & assessment

The course applies collaborative, case-based, and experiential learning methods. Participants engage in group discussions, problem-solving workshops, and project-based tasks to address real-world leadership challenges.
Assessment is continuous and performance-based, focusing on active engagement, applied tasks, and reflective learning. Evidence of achievement is collected through practical assignments, peer collaboration, and individual reflection reports.
Reliability is supported through peer moderation, and validity through alignment with the course’s stated learning outcomes. Each participant receives structured feedback to guide further professional growth.

Materials, digital tools & other learning resources

Participants utilise collaborative and design tools, such as Google Workspace and Canva, to co-create strategic plans and frameworks. Digital templates, case studies, and sample school plans are provided via shared online folders. All materials follow accessibility, GDPR, and Creative Commons standards and remain available for post-course implementation.
