
INTEGRATION AND MULTICULTURALISM 10 DAYS IN SPLIT
This course is aimed at all those who are interested to improve their intercultural competences and learn interactive methods to support integration of learners from different cultures into a collaborating team. The course will address the concepts of identity and group dynamics and will cover several interactive techniques from PBL to the TO techniques. Info and registrations @ info@pricalica.org
Description
The course consists of 35 didactic hours and includes the following moduels:
- Introduction of participants, outline of the programme, warm ups and ice breakers
- Multiculturality, identity, conflict (theory)
- Introduction to the Theatre of the Oppressed methods
- Art and game based activities which enhance the group dynamics
- Games and exercises to fight oppression from the arsenal of The Theatre of the Oppressed
- Problem based learning as integrative factor - change of focus
- Online tools for collaboration in integration oriented projects, eTwinning
- Individual support
- Cultural exchange
- Teambuilding and networking activities with a city tour or a cultural trip
- Presentation of outcomes, discussion, evaluation and closing session

Learning objectives
- Facilitating understanding of identity and conflict and analysis of diversity of its forms.
- Learning techniques and approaches for diverting the focus from identifying differences to achieving a common goal.
- Improving understanding of sensations, feelings and thoughts through individual and collective perceptions.
- Facilitating juxtaposition of individual perceptions to form a deeper collective perception.
- Acquisition of games, exercises and techniques for strengthening the capacity for dialogue, tolerance and collaboration.
- Developing communication, collaboration, presentation, problem solving, negotiation, critical and creative thinking skills.
- Learning versatile techniques and exercises from the arsenal of The Theatre of The Oppressed for understanding identity and addressing conflicts.
- Promoting Boal’s methodology as a tool for dealing with conflicts in schools and our surroundings.
- Improving the use of English (official language of the course).
- Promoting intercultural awareness.
Methodology & assessment
Materials, digital tools & other learning resources
All the materials will be made available to the participants in digital form upon completion of the course.
Certification details
Certificate complies with the guidelines of the Erasmus+ programme and includes the topic, number of didactic hours, dates and location of the course. We can list the record of learning outcomes on the Europass Mobility Document on request of participants. In case. aparticipant requires a speciffic format of certificate we can accommodation that if requested at least one week before the start of the course.

The course fee includes tution and materials for the course. Accommodation, meals and transportation are not included and participants are expected to organize and cover for these expenses by themselves.
