Description

The course consists of 50 didactic hours and includes the following modules:

  • Introduction of participants, warm ups and ice breakers, outline of the programme
  • Overview of the web design platforms and examples of good practice
  • Setting up the pages of the website (blog, contacts, resources, calendar)
  • Adding and adjusting content (photos, presentations, videos)
  • Creating and embedding feedback forms
  • Recording and publishing screen-casting tutorials and explainer videos
  • Advanced content management tools
  • Publishing and sharing, legal framework of video production, publishing and    sharing
  • Online tools for collaboration in educational and ICT based projects, eTwinning, School Education Gateway
  • Individual support

There is also an organized cultural excursion to Meteora and teambuilding and networking activities in Mount Olympus or on one of the beaches of Larissa.

Learning objectives

  • Improving the participants’ digital competences, in particular the ability to set up a free website, create online forms, create, publish and share content.
  • Improving digital skills in work with text, photography and video.
  • Boosting participants’ confidence in use of technology.
  • Enhancing professional skills through mastering tools for virtual communication and collaboration.
  • Developing communication, collaboration, presentation, problem solving, negotiation, critical and creative thinking skills.
  • Providing and exercising creative ideas and practical resources for successful educational project website setup.
  • Improving English fluency (official language of the course).
  • Promoting intercultural awareness.
  • Sharing experiences of school project work and use of ICT in education from different organizations in order to help each of us to be more effective in our work.

Methodology & assessment

Methodology is based on theoretical input, presentations of examples of good practice as well as demonstrations and experience comparisons and in the most part practical work on website setup. Participants will have the opportunity to set up a free website and interlink several pages of a website which will include calendar, blog content, resources (such as photos, videos, presentations), feedback and contact forms, and maps. This will enable them to set up functional and free websites for their educational school projects. Another focus will be on engagement on visitors with the website and we will present examples and do practical work on setting up a website.

Materials, digital tools & other learning resources

All the materials will be made available to the participants in digital form upon completion of the course.

Certification details

Certificate complies with the guidelines of the Erasmus+ programme and includes the topic, number of didactic hours, dates and location of the course. We can list the record of learning outcomes on the Europass Mobility Document on request of participants. In case. A participant requires a specific format of certificate we can accommodate that if requested at least one week before the start of the course. It is necessary to attend at least 80% of the hours in order to receive the certificate.

    The course fee includes tuition and materials for the course and all administrative work. There is also one cultural activity for networking and socialising covered by the course fee.  

    Accommodation, meals and transportation are not included and participants are expected to organize and cover for these expenses by themselves. 

    We do not charge anything extra apart from the 800 EUR course fee.

  • Cancellation & changes:

    Free cancellation up to 30 days before the start. After that, the reservation is not refundable. Changes in name and profile of the participant are possible any time before the start of the course. In case of extraordinary circumstances, we will offer a free re-scheduling to be used within 6 months.

    The options and conditions for change and cancellation, and the policy in case of unforeseen circumstances (force majeure).
