Practical Spanish for Education Professionals” is an immersive, skill‐building course designed to equip educators with the everyday language and cultural insights needed to connect with Spanish-speaking students and families. Through interactive role-plays, authentic dialogues, and targeted vocabulary practice, participants will master essential phrases for classroom management, parent-teacher communication, and community engagement. By integrating scenario-based exercises—such as conducting bilingual workshops, guiding campus tours, and facilitating student check-ins—educators gain the confidence to foster inclusive, linguistically responsive learning environments. Practical take-home resources include phrasebooks, audio dialogues, and culturally themed lesson-plan supplements, ensuring teachers can immediately apply their new skills and strengthen school-home partnerships.
Learning objectives
By the end of “¡Vamos! Practical Spanish for Education Professionals,” participants will be able to:
- Greet students and families, introduce themselves, and exchange basic personal information in Spanish to build rapport in classroom and school settings.
