  • Identify ways of creating a supportive and collaborative learning environment for your students through peer support programs, by exploring a variety of peer support approaches and discussing how to implement these with your course peers
  • Define processes and criteria for identifying mentor candidates among your students, by reflecting about the suitability of established processes  and criteria for your own context
  • Discuss how to effectively train and support mentors, by discussing with your course peers about the necessary skills required by mentors, such as active listening, problem-solving, and empathy
  • Learn how to sustain and advance peer support programs over time by exploring best practices for program management, such as recruiting new mentors, communicating program goals and impact, and providing ongoing support and feedback for mentors.
  • Develop a plan of monitoring and evaluating the progress of the peer support program by identifying appropriate evaluation methods, such as surveys, interviews, and focus groups, and collecting and analyzing data to track program outcomes and identify areas for improvement.
