- What are my possible choices for a series of thinking lessons?

DAY 3
- So, what does it mean to develop thinking skills of learners in a maths classroom?
- What do teachers and students do in a thinking maths lesson?
- Lunch
- How will my lessons look like? Towards students accepting the learning problem
- Cultural activity followed by dinner
DAY 4
- What are the questions we've come across so far?
- How will my lessons look like? Students observing patterns
- Lunch
- What can we learn from each other? What are important conclusions at this stage?

- How do learners develop rules in a maths lesson?

Learning objectives
Objective:
- Provide the participants with tools for the development of thinking skills in maths education.
Learning outcomes:
- Participants know practical tasks and technologies for the development of thinking competence in the process of teaching and learning mathematics.
- Participants understand the difference between thinking and non-thinking tasks in the process of learning maths.
- Participants are willing to join the professional community working towards integration of thinking competence in any learning activity.
Methodology & assessment
Course content will be linked to specific context of participants. Everyone will be working on learning materials they will try out with their own learners after the course. The materials will be developed during the week of the course and then tried out in the classroom upon your return.
Formative assessment will be provided throughout the learning journey, starting from online meetings before the course to learning community support after the course.

Participants will receive a pre-course questionnaire and will be invited to join an online meeting
Learning materials will be available digitally via Google Drive

Course package content:
The price includes 7 days tuition and seminar materials, 6 nights accommodation in a twin room, all meals and coffee breaks during the course, and a small social programme.

Cancellation & changes:
All changes and cancellations must be submitted in writing. The course organiser will confirm the cancellation in writing. Refund of course fees will be as follows:
60 days before the beginning of the course - refund 100%
30 days before the beginning of the course - refund 50%
less than 30 days before the beginning of the course - no cancellations will be refunded
Please note that all refunds will be charged EUR 50 handling fee. -
