While academic knowledge is vital, the ability to communicate, collaborate, and connect is what truly defines an impactful educator. This course focuses on developing the essential soft skills—often called power skills—that are critical for teacher effectiveness and fostering a positive school climate.
Through interactive workshops and reflective practice, you will enhance your skills in communication, emotional intelligence, leadership, conflict resolution, and teamwork. Learn how to build stronger relationships with students, parents, and colleagues, and become a more influential and resilient leader within your school community.
Learning objectives
Upon completion of this course, participants will be able to:
- Identify and self-assess key soft skills (power skills) essential for teacher effectiveness and leadership.
- Apply advanced communication and active listening techniques to build stronger relationships with students, parents, and colleagues.
- Utilize emotional intelligence strategies to manage classroom dynamics and personal stress.
- Implement basic coaching and mentoring principles to support the growth of colleagues and students.
- Lead and participate in collaborative teams more effectively to contribute to a positive school culture.
Methodology & assessment
Assessment is based on active and constructive participation in all activities and the development of a personal leadership and communication action plan for professional growth. All participants will receive a certificate of attendance.
Materials, digital tools & other learning resources
Attendees will receive a personal development workbook with self-assessment tools, reflection prompts, and practical exercises. The course utilizes video scenarios and interactive online platforms for collaborative problem-solving. Post-course, participants will gain access to a curated library of articles, TED Talks, and resources on leadership and emotional intelligence.
Certification details
Upon successful completion of the course, all participants will receive a formal Certificate of Attendance from Erasmus Mobility Academy. The certificate will officially state: the participant's full name, the full course title, the course dates and location, the main topics covered, and the total number of educational hours (25 hours), corresponding to this application form. The document will be signed by the head trainer and will serve as proof of participation for the Erasmus+ Programme.
