This course raises awareness about various forms of bullying, including cyberbullying. It empowers participants to prevent, detect and respond to bullying using therapeutic theater techniques inspired by the victim - aggressor - observer triangle promoted by the KIVA anti-bullying program.

Description
This course increases awareness about bullying and cyberbullying, empowering participants to respond effectively. It's inspired by the KIVA anti-bullying program, focusing on changing bystander attitudes. Collaborating with two specialized organizations from Tenerife, it uses therapeutic theater to identify bullying, foster emotional intelligence, empathy, trust, and active listening. Active learning methods create a respectful, non-violent learning environment. The course is practical, hands-on, and promotes technique experience and reflection.
Daily programme
Day 1 – Bullying and cyberbullying
- Getting to know each other
- What’s the difference between normal conflict and bullying?
- Types of bullying and cyberbullying.
Day 2 – The KIVA method
- KIVA evidence-based antibullying program and other programs in Spain
- A whole school approach to prevention, intervention and monitoring
- The role of the participants/bystanders/observers
- How to help someone suffering from bullying or cyberbullying.
Day 3
Learning objectives
- To develop an enhanced understanding of various forms of bullying and cyberbullying.
- To acquire the ability to distinguish normal conflicts from situations of bullying or cyberbullying.
- To gain knowledge about the evidence-based KIVA anti-bullying program and other programs in Spain.
- To recognize the vital role of participants, bystanders, and observers in preventing and addressing bullying.
- To develop the skills to respond effectively and provide support to individuals experiencing bullying or cyberbullying.
- To enhance awareness of the long-term psychological and physical consequences affecting victims, bullies, and observers.
- To master the use of drama techniques and experiential methods to foster empathy, respect, trust, and active listening skills among students.
- To comprehend the application of active learning methodologies to cultivate a respectful and non-violent learning environment.
- To facilitate the exchange of best practices with European peers for effectively managing challenging
