
PLAY LIKE A GIRL: Engage Girls in physical education Classes
This course aims to provide teachers pedagogical theories and resources to engage girls in physical education classes and school sports (team sports). Different methodologies are provided with the students in the center of the teaching-learning process. It will also help us learn about our awareness of differences and how we manage them by sharing best practices.
Description
Under the Erasmus Quality Standards, we have organized and created this course, which includes a practical element that offers suggestions for use in the classes. Additionally, the open discussion will bring different approaches to working with students using these new tools.
Learning objectives
- Learn about resources and best practices to engage girls in sports;
- Develop your own style by mixing different teaching methodologies;
- Increase your ability to effectively lead students through self-awareness and make them grow in sports.

- DAY 1
- Presentation. Setting objectives.
- Why girls are less interest in sports;
- The importance of the teacher in the engagement of girls in sports;
- DAY 2
- Different teaching methodologies in physical education: sports education model, student-designed games;
- cooperative methodologies;
- DAY 3
- Planning and organising methodologies - practical examples
- DAY 4
- Planning and organising methodologies - practical examples
- Case studies analysis
- Final project - Developing and action plan

Certification details
All the courses are designed following the Quality Standards for courses under Key Action 1 and participants are provided with certificates that meet the Europass criteria.
The participants must attend 80% of the course hours in order to receive their certificates.
