
Modern methodology and Language Development for Primary Teachers
This course focuses on helping you create new lessons that will re-engage and re-energise both you and your students. You’ll discover effective techniques and how to adapt materials for your students. You will also develop your communication skills and confidence in using English with language development classes.
Description
This one (or two week) course combines language development classes with methodology modules which focus on the teaching of English in the primary school classroom and the needs of young learners. Our practical workshops focus on helping you to create new to create new, original, highly-enjoyable materials and lesson plans.
A minimum language level of CEFR B1 is required for the programme.

Option of 7 day package including a Dublin city immersion afternoon and one full day weekend cultural excursion.

The course aims:
-to familiarise participants with examples of good practice in English-language teaching
-to increase understanding of the potential of new technologies in English Language Teaching in the Primary-School Classroom

-to increase participants’ knowledge of Ireland
-to provide the opportunity to exchange ideas and establish links with teachers from other European countries
Methodology & assessment
Follow up:
At the end of the course teachers are asked to consider which aspects of the course will be the most relevant to their own teaching situations. On their return home they are invited to keep a record of how they have been able to utilise ideas gained on the course in their own classrooms. They are encouraged to share their experiences with their fellow participants by email.
