This course is ideal for educators who want explore the art of mindfulness and discover how mental wellbeing can better help you meet the challenges of modern life. Participants will get to know how to help their students to become open to new ideas, reducing stress and increasing enjoyment of life. The course provides basic yoga and mindfulness practice as a perfect balance of body and mind.

Day 1: INTRODUCTION TO MINDFULNESS AND WELL-BEING
- Getting to know each other – ice breaker games
- What is mindfulness? Basic knowledge and principles.
- Mindfulness in everyday life.
- The concept of mindful learning and teaching.
- The brain: The source of emotions and urges. What is the limbic system?
- How mindfulness affects mental health and wellbeing.
- Benefits of mindfulness for educators and students.
- Basic mindfulness practice: Breathing exercises and body awareness.
- Day 2: MANAGING EMOTIONS AND RELAXATION TECHNIQUE
- The first step of mindfulness: Recognizing and naming emotions.
- The acceptance of feelings: There are no "bad" emotions.
- Dealing with anger: Exercises and games, strategies for calming down.
- Relaxing methods to release body tension.
- Yoga elements to be included in lessons.
- Integrating mindfulness practices into the classroom.
- How to teach students to manage emotions such as anger, sadness, and jealousy.
Day 3: IMPROVING ATTENTION AND SELF-CONFIDENCE
- Techniques to improve students' attentiveness and focus.
- Methods for encouraging self-confidence and emotional regulation in students.
- The connection between physical health and mental wellbeing.
- How to develop positive habits for healthier living
- Practical exercises to boost concentration and mindfulness in class.

Day 4: KINDNESS, GRATITUDE AND BUILDING POSITIVE RELATIONSHIPS
- Practicing everyday gratitude: The jar of kindness.
- Teaching kindness and empathy in the classroom.
- Building positive relationships with students.
- Writing a gratitude diary: Blowing out the worries.
- Encouraging group work and collaboration through mindful practices.
- Developing empathy and emotional intelligence in students.

- Day 5: FINAL CHALLENGE AND COURSE WRAP-UP
- City Game challenge: Following mindfulness instructions in a local setting.
- Applying the mindfulness techniques in real-life scenarios.

Methodology & assessment
Lectures, presentation, workshops, group activities, hands-on activities indoor and outdoor,
discussions, teamwork, group work.
Feedback sessions will be used to provide participants with constructive feedback on their own
learning and on the activities carried and during the training course.
