Description

Who is it for?

  • Participants: 20–25 educators, including teachers from kindergartens, primary, secondary schools, and adult training centers across Erasmus+ program countries.
  • Profile: Professionals motivated to apply non-formal techniques for fostering inclusion, eager to embrace cultural diversity, and dedicated to developing their institution’s European perspective.

Objectives:

  1. Equip educators with tools to integrate non-formal education methods into formal settings to enhance inclusion.
  2. Foster skills in dialogue, collaboration, and critical thinking using creative exercises.
  3. Build strategies to overcome integration challenges, such as language barriers or cultural differences.
  4. Enable teachers to understand and connect with diverse student realities.
  5. Promote European collaboration through Erasmus+ partnerships and shared best practices.

Learning objectives

By the end of this course, participants will:

  • Apply non-formal tools to address inclusion challenges and boost student motivation.
  • Gain insights into group dynamics, creating cohesive and supportive classrooms.
  • Develop effective communication strategies to adapt to diverse age groups.
  • Learn mediation and conflict resolution techniques tailored to educational settings.
  • Foster self-esteem and trust in excluded or marginalized individuals.
  • Identify and implement at least five non-formal activities to support inclusive practices.
  • Gain confidence in using innovative tools to create bonds between teachers and students.
  • Explore inclusive approaches from successful European projects.


 

Methodology & assessment

The main methods will be through practical training, exercises, role-playing, cooperative work, various activities and discussions. The content is based on „ learning by doing” combined with ” reflection upon action”. The training course has a holistic approach:
• Experiencing: different educational settings, different non formal education methods (role play, simulation game, exercises etc.)
• Reflecting: on the methods and its impacts, on the power and limits of non-formal education, on building a pedagogical process etc.
• Transferring: to the own reality of participants, in order to improve ways of working with their students
• Sharing: different perceptions, current situations and experiences.
• Developing: the building capacity of the participants (to be transferred to their students) by including them in the decision process of the training course designing
• Lessons learnt and best practices on non-formal education in school activities
