
”Improve your public speaking skills” in TENERIFE, Spain
In this course, teachers and professionals will learn theater-inspired tools to enhance their public speaking and presentation skills. Through practical exercises, participants will refine voice, intonation, and body language. Role-playing and simulations will improve phonetic competences, scenic presence, and narrative abilities.
This course is held on-site in Tenerife.
Description
The goal of this course is to engage the audience actively, making them feel enveloped by the speaker's voice. Additionally, participants will acquire techniques that can be shared with their learners.
This course is suitable for teaching and non-teaching staff
Day 1: Breathing
Learn diaphragmatic breathing to support strong, healthy voice use.Day 2: Scenic Presence
Overcome public speaking fear through emotional and physical relaxation techniques.Day 3: Voice Projection
Develop clear vocal projection, articulation, and diction.Day 4: Posture & Relaxation
Use posture and body awareness to enhance vocal power and reduce tension.- Day 5: Networking & Wrap-Up
Team-building, reflection, evaluation, and planning future collaboration.
Learning objectives
- To get an introduction to the vocal apparatus, its parts, as well as the process of producing the voice and the characteristics of the voice (pitch, tone, etc.).
- To get aware of the triggering and favoring factors that can cause problems in the voice.
- To learn the correct body position when public speaking.
- To get insights on relaxation techniques and the proper way to breathe while speaking in public.
- To learn about emission, projection, and vocal coordination.
- To learn vocalization exercises.
- To learn how to adapt our speech, with the right tone, volume, and pronunciation to make ourselves understood better.
- To acquire knowledge on how to care for and preserve our voice when speaking in public for many hours (vocal hygiene and vocal care).
- To get inspired on how to encourage a stimulating and open learning environment and foster collective learning.
