Description
English Language and Irish Culture will help you to build confidence in reading, writing, and speaking in English while gaining knowledge about a new culture. This courses blends content driven lessons with language to develop communication skills with others on the topic of their country’s culture and traditions. During this course participants will examine key aspects of life in Ireland through presentations, tasks, research, songs and interaction with Local people and the unique culture of this area in the West of Ireland.

Methodology & assessment
Materials, digital tools & other learning resources
Trainers use a blend of textual and digital resources, taking full advantage of the smart board technology with which all Atlantic Centre classrooms are equipped. Visual aids, including video, film, photography as well as audio recordings, are combined with traditional textual materials drawn from textbooks, journalism, blog posts etc. Many courses utilise the ed-tech tools which participants can adapt to enhance their own teaching practices.
Certification details
Participants are awarded a signed Course Certificate in line with Erasmus Quality Standards showing the course name, the participant’s name, the course location, course dates and course duration.

Course package content:
The course fee includes 5 days of tuition,1 full-day excursion to a local area of cultural or heritage value, a guided historical walking tour of Galway city, and afternoon social and cultural activities.
Accommodation, meals and transport costs are not included.
