
DIGITAL STORYTELLING 10 DAYS
The course will focus on theoretical background and practical use of digital storytelling and building narratives as well as the opportunities for creating teaching and learning resources through photo stories and if-than adventure stories. Participants are expected to have at least B1 level of English proficiency.
Description
The course consists of 50 didactic hours and includes the following modules:
- Introduction of participants, warm ups and ice breakers, outline of the programme
- Introduction to storytelling and narrative building as a teaching and learning style
- Practical workshop on digital storytelling and narrative building
- Practical workshop on creating interactive digital storytelling scenarios
- Introduction to animation tools, practical workshop on teacher generated animation
- Whiteborad animation production, project task based on the curriculum of each individual participant
- Explainer video production, project task based on the curriculum of each individual participant
- Publishing and sharing, legal framework of online content publishing and sharing
- Online tools for collaboration in storytelling and media production projects, eTwinning, ESEP
- Individual support
- Presentation of outcomes, discussion, evaluation and closing session
Learning objectives
- Improving the participants’ digital competences.
- Understanding of storytelling and narrative building as teaching and learning style.
- Developing communication, collaboration, presentation, problem solving, negotiation, critical and creative thinking skills.
- Enhancing understanding of the potential storytelling and narrative building have in education and opportunities they provide.
- Enhancing professional skills through mastering tools for virtual communication and collaboration.
- Providing and exercising creative ideas and practical resources for successful implementation of digital storytelling in education.
- Improving English fluency (official language of the course).
- Promoting intercultural awareness.
- Sharing experiences of digital storytelling from different organizations in order to help each of us to be more effective in our work.

All the materials will be made available to the participants in digital form upon completion of the course.
Certification details
Certificate includes the topic, dates and location of the course. We can list the record of learning outcomes on the Europass Mobility Document on request of participants.

Course package content:
The course fee includes tution and materials for the course. Accommodation, meals and transportation are not included and participants are expected to organize and cover for these expenses by themselves. We do not charge anything extra apart from the 800 EUR course fee.

Cancellation & changes:
Free cancellation up to 30 days before the start. After that, the reservation is not refundable. Changes in name and profile of the participant are possible any time before the start of the course.
