Learning objectives

By the end of the course, the participants will be able to;

 

 

  • develop and apply effective strategies for teaching students how to think critically,
  • identify the key elements of critical thinking and differentiate it from other forms of thought,
  • recognize the importance of critical thinking in problem solving and decision making,
  • understand the impact of cultural context on teaching
  • learn, and apply the principles of critical thinking in their own teaching practices
  • gain a better understanding of how critical thinking works and how to apply it in their classrooms
  • evaluate the progress of their students, not just in terms of their creative output but also in terms of their development as thinkers who are willing to look at problems from different angles and think outside the box
  • assess the student’s ability to see the world through different perspectives, come up with new ideas, and apply creative thinking in various problem-solving scenarios
  • develop the skills and strategies to nurture creativity and innovative thinking in their students
  • learn how to approach multiple intelligence theory
  • get practical ideas for applying in PBL
  • get to know and practice ICT tools for develop creativity and problem solving
  • enhance intercultural awareness

 

Methodology & assessment

This course is designed to help teachers develop their skills and confidence in utilizing modern strategies such as inquiry-based learning, problem-solving activities, open-ended discussions, and project-based learning. By learning how to integrate these activities into their lesson plans, teachers can encourage their students to actively engage in the learning process and develop critical thinking skills that will help them succeed not only in school but also later on in life
