This course provides an overview of how creativity enriches teaching and learning at primary and secondary level, with active participation in dynamic educational scenarios to develop your creative practices.
It will provide inspiration to refresh your motivation for teaching.
The course includes:

- Team building via creative challenges
- Practical insights into creative thinking and the pedagogic importance of creativity in a changing world

Learning objectives
You will develop practical skills, experience, knowledge and understanding of:
- the science of creativity and how creative thinking fosters effective pedagogy
- innovation and creative, critical thinking in teaching and learning materials and tasks
- how to foster and develop creativity; tools and techniques to use with learners
- creative, inclusive approaches to convergent and divergent thinking to build a supportive learning culture and improve classroom motivation and dynamics
- collaboration and creative processes in 21st century teaching and learning
- developing creativity in your planning and lesson design, nurturing flow
- how AI might help to enhance creativity by designing assignments for creativity and avoiding plagiarism
- Why you should involve colleagues and your community to create interdisciplinary learning festivals or showcase days in your classroom or online
Methodology & assessment
We use carousel learning, peer presentations and teaching, lightening talks and open space technology, along with discussion and reflection on multimedia input (e.g. recordings from leading practitioners or real life visits), participant creations, examples and experiences and texts.
We believe that every participant is capable of developing professionally throughout the teaching and learning processes. Assessment for learning is on-going, using reflective approaches and peer feedback on learning designs, tasks and products produced in challenges and workshops.
Participants are expected to make active contributions to shared input, feedback and reflections on best practice from the course.
A European perspective is provided by colleagues working in similar contexts
Materials, digital tools & other learning resources
Participants will be provided with physical and digital materials and will have the opportunity during the course to create a digital portfolio of resources and learning designs to cascade training into their schools.
Certification details
- A certificate of attendance (stating course title, location, dates, content, learning outcomes and number of hours) will be provided as required by the Quality standards for courses under Key Action 1
- Erasmus+ documentation will be validated
- Teachers will be provided with advice on how to complete their Learning Agreements if requested

Full payment will be due 2 months before the course begins, or for teachers awaiting funding: as soon as the grant is received.
100% refund for cancellations more than 5 weeks before arrival. No refund for cancellations within 5 weeks of arrival. Changes and substitution of teacher may be possible.
