Description

The course begins with an exploration of the theoretical foundations and benefits of art therapy in special education. Participants will understand how various creative arts can facilitate emotional expression, communication, and personal growth for SEN students. Teachers will be equipped to identify and address the unique challenges faced by students with special educational needs and learn how art therapy interventions can effectively cater to their individual requirements.

Through experiential learning and hands-on activities, participants will acquire a diverse range of art therapy techniques, including drawing, painting, sculpting, storytelling, and more. These techniques can be seamlessly integrated into the teaching practice to foster self-expression, imagination, and creative thinking among SEN students. Participants will gain the expertise to design personalised art therapy plans tailored to each student's specific abilities and needs, ultimately promoting their emotional and cognitive development.

Assessment:

Final Project: Participants are required to develop a final project that incorporates the knowledge and skills gained during the course.
Course Evaluation: At the end of the course, participants are asked to complete an evaluation form, offering insights into the effectiveness of the training program.
