
CREATIVE, ART AND GAME BASED METHODS FOR INTEGRATING STUDENTS WITH SPECIAL NEEDS 5 DAYS
This course is aimed at teachers and school staff from pre-school level to primary, secondary, vocational, adult and special needs education, staff of non-government organizations, government and policy makers and company staff as well as students and all those who are interested in the use of creative, social, art and game based methods for integration of students with special needs.
Description
The course consists of 25 didactic hours and includes the following modules:
- Introduction of participants, outline of the programme, warm ups and ice breakers
- Identification of risks, factors and barriers for integration
- Social, art and game-based activities which enhance development of support factors
- Art based projects, techniques and tools to support integration of students with special needs
- Individual support
- Presentation of outcomes, discussion, evaluation and closing session
- Teambuilding and networking activities
- City tour or a cultural trip
Learning objectives
- Understanding how social, art and game-based activities can enhance the development of support factors.
- Identification and understanding of risks, factors and barriers for integration.
- Developing communication, collaboration, presentation, problem solving, negotiation, critical and creative thinking skills.
- The ability to use persona dolls for tackling sensitive topics with pre-school and primary school students.
- Acquisition of tools and techniques of art-based projects which support integration of students with special needs.
- Enhancing understanding of the potential simulations and role play have for modeling behavior, development of everyday life skills, integration, inclusion and learning in special needs education.
- Providing and exercising creative ideas and practical resources for successful implementation of creative methods in special needs education in different settings
- Improving English fluency (official language of the course).
- Promoting intercultural awareness.

All the materials will be made available to the participants in digital form upon completion of the course.
Certification details
Certificate includes the topic, dates and location of the course. We can list the record of learning outcomes on the Europass Mobility Document on request of participants.

Course package content:
The course fee includes tution and materials for the course. Accommodation, meals and transportation are not included and participants are expected to organize and cover for these expenses by themselves. We do not charge anything extra apart from the 400 EUR course fee.

Cancellation & changes:
Free cancellation up to 30 days before the start. After that, the reservation is not refundable. Changes in name and profile of the participant are possible any time before the start of the course. In case of extraordinary circumstances we will offer a free re-schedualing to be used within 6 months.
