Description

Over 10 days, this comprehensive program equips participants with the essential knowledge and practical skills to effectively teach these subjects. The course is suitable for educators across all disciplines, aiming to integrate the principles of computational thinking, programming, and robotics into their teaching practices.

Learning objectives

  • Develop a strong foundation in computational logic, enabling participants to analyze problems systematically and create efficient algorithms for robotic applications.
  • Acquire practical knowledge in programming languages such as Python and C++, with the ability to write, debug, and optimize code specifically for robotics.
  • Gain a thorough understanding of the key components and structures of robots, including sensors, actuators, and control systems, allowing participants to design and build functional robotic models.
  • Apply theoretical concepts to real-world scenarios through hands-on projects, enhancing problem-solving skills and the ability to develop, test, and present robotic projects.
  • Develop collaborative skills by working in teams on robotic projects, particularly in the context of collaborative robotics (cobots), fostering an understanding of human-robot interaction.
  • Learn to effectively integrate coding and robotics into the classroom, using digital tools to engage students, facilitat

Methodology & assessment

The course follows a "learning by doing" approach, with a strong emphasis on hands-on activities and project-based learning. Each day includes guided tutorials, practical exercises, and collaborative projects, allowing participants to apply theoretical knowledge in real-world scenarios. The course culminates in a final project presentation, where participants demonstrate their acquired skills and receive feedback. By the end of the course, educators will be well-equipped to guide their students in mastering the essential skills of coding and robotics, preparing them for future challenges in an increasingly digital world.

Materials, digital tools & other learning resources

The Coding and Robotics course spans ten days, immersing participants in the fundamental concepts of coding and robotics while providing hands-on experiences that foster practical skills and knowledge. The first day begins with an overview of the course structure and an introduction to computational thinking, which underpins all robotics and programming activities. Participants will explore basic programming concepts and engage in coding exercises to familiarize themselves with the programming e
