Description

The course is structured around workshop-style modules. These hands-on sessions include practical tasks and provide immediate takeaways that you can implement in your lessons straight away. The workshops equip participants with a working knowledge of key CLIL concepts and a selection of practical activities suitable for both primary and secondary levels. Recognising the importance of a teacher's language proficiency in CLIL, the course also includes dedicated language-development classes every morning.

Learning objectives

  • Develop tasks, activities, and materials that actively support CLIL in the classroom.
  • Evaluate materials to ensure their effectiveness within a CLIL context.
  • Plan effective CLIL lessons that carefully consider different learning stages.
  • Demonstrate awareness of and apply approaches to inclusivity in CLIL.

Methodology & assessment

The methodology is communicative and task-based, with a focus on practical ideas and materials development. Participants are encouraged to share their own ideas and experiences, collaborate with peers and to reflect on learning and tasks.

Materials, digital tools & other learning resources

Digital and supplementary materials are interesting and stimulating. All classrooms are multimedia equipped.
