- Expectations and setting goals for the week

- The basics of classroom management: essential skills, can & can't of a class leader
- Switching from classroom management to classroom leadership
Day 2
- The science of motivation: engage students in participative, collaborative learning
- How to communicate your message: what to do so that students can learn
- FOMO: the fear of missing-out or the reason why students do not listen
- Increase focus in order to dicreese distraction
Day 3
- Breaking the desperation cycle
- Shifting from praise to encouragement
- Develop a students centred classroom to promos peer-to-peer collaboration
- Increase students engagement: from 'May I' to 'How & Why'
Day 4
- Promoting teamwork: when the group becomes a team
- Social cohesion vs task cohesion: a comparative approach
- No classroom management without self-management
- Developing an effective whole school approach to behaviour
Day 5
- Space for discussion of future cooperation and planning follow up activities
- Course roundup and final evaluation
- Validation of learning outcomes and certification ceremony
- Additional training session tailored to specific needs (optional)

Learning objectives
During the course, participants will come across everything they always wanted to know about classroom management (but were afraid to ask) by:
- learning about the ins and outs of classroom management (and all its little secrets)
- developing applicable skills and techniques that can be used to establish positive relationships with students.
- boosting up their technology skills for effective classroom management.
- learning about how to handle students escalations and defuse complicated and stressful situations with class and style.
- apprehending the ever-changing cultural / psychological / social diversity of students to help fostering an academically motivating environment
- assessing the right way to implement a sustainable and efficient classroom management policy at school by integrating parents and all school staff.
- exchanging good practices and sharing experiences about classroom management with teachers and education staff from all over Europe;
- experiencing real case studies of challenging classrooms situations.
Methodology & assessment
Led by professionals of education with a real experience of teaching, the course will take the form of hands-on workshops with exchanges of practices, brainstorming, analysis and real case scenario examples, participants will reflect on the tools and strategies that will make an impact in their daily practice. A great emphasis will be therefore put on collaboration and interaction between participants to create relevant resources and projects that each of them will be able to take back to school.
Certification details
Each participant will be granted a Certificate of Attendance as well as Certificate of Obtained Competences.
If requested - a Europass Mobility Certificate will be issued.

Cultural visits
Cultural visits of Senlis and Paris are included in the training programme. This programme can be changed to meet your expectations.
