This course is aimed to provide a comprehensive approach to teaching and learning that considers the well-being, engagement, and diverse needs of students. By integrating movement, mindfulness, and creative expression into education, this course offers tools for educators to enhance the educational experience and promote a more balanced, inclusive, and student-centered learning environment.
Description
Under the Erasmus Quality Standards we have organized and created this course aiming helping teachers to feel more at ease with their work, to share experiences and ideas with others.
By incorporating body and mind practices into educational settings, this course addresses crucial aspects of modern education like stress reduction, creative expression and mind-body connection.

- Welcome and course overview
- Introduction to body-mind dance methods
- Exploring basic movement techniques and practical exercises
- Day 2
- The role of creative expression in education
- Techniques for conveying emotions and ideas through dance
- Creative movement workshop
- Day 3
- Adapting body-mind dance in educational contexts
- Case studies: successful implementation in various contexts
- Group activity: designing a dance-based educational project
- Day 4
- Breathwork
- Exploring improvisation in dance
- Group dance composition project
- Day 5
- Participants present their educational project designs
- Peer and instructor feedback
- Refining and finalizing education plans
NOTE: Participants will be able to incorporate body-mind dance methods into their educational approach by adapting these methods to various educational contexts. They will enrich their teaching by engaging students more effectively and being prepared to implement innovative teaching projects in their respective contexts.
Learning objectives
- Acquire a repertoire of body-mind dance methods and exercises, including but not limited to
improvisation and breathwork, being able to apply these techniques effectively
- To cultivate creative expression through movement, to learn how to convey emotions, ideas,
and stories through dance
- Be able to adapt and integrate body-mind dance methods into various educational contexts,
such as schools, community centers, healthcare settings, and corporate wellness programs

Certification details
All the courses are designed following the Quality Standards for courses under Key Action 1 and participants are provided with certificates that meet the Europass criteria.
The participants must attend 80% of the course hours in order to receive their certificates.
