Description

The future of education is flexible. This course provides a masterclass in designing and implementing effective blended learning environments that combine the best of face-to-face instruction with the power of online learning. Move beyond emergency remote teaching to a purposeful and sustainable pedagogical model.

Learn about different blended learning models (like Flipped Classroom and Station Rotation), strategies for choosing the right digital tools, and techniques for managing a flexible classroom. You will design a blended learning unit, leaving with the skills to create a more personalized, student-centered, and resilient learning experience.

Learning objectives

Upon completion of this course, participants will be able to:

 - Differentiate between various blended learning models (e.g., Flipped Classroom, Station Rotation) and select the best fit for their context.

 - Design engaging and effective learning experiences that purposefully integrate online and face-to-face components.

 - Select and utilize appropriate digital tools for content delivery, student collaboration, and assessment.

 - Develop strategies for managing a flexible, student-centered blended learning environment.

 - Create a complete, ready-to-implement blended learning unit for their own subject area.

Methodology & assessment

This course is a hands-on design workshop. The methodology guides participants through a structured process of designing a blended learning experience. It combines theoretical models with practical application, using a "flipped classroom" approach where participants engage with content online before interactive, collaborative design sessions.

Assessment is project-based. The primary evaluation is the creation of a comprehensive, ready-to-implement blended learning unit plan, which will receive formative feedback from both peers and the trainer throughout the week. All participants will receive a certificate of attendance.

Materials, digital tools & other learning resources

This course provides a complete digital Blended Learning Design Toolkit, including unit planning templates, tech selection guides, and assessment rubrics. We will use a variety of Learning Management Systems (LMS) and online content creation tools in a hands-on lab environment. Participants will leave with their own fully developed digital unit and access to a community of blended learning practitioners.

Certification details

Upon successful completion of the course, all participants will receive a formal Certificate of Attendance from Erasmus Mobility Academy. The certificate will officially state: the participant's full name, the full course title, the course dates and location, the main topics covered, and the total number of educational hours (25 hours), corresponding to this application form. The document will be signed by the head trainer and will serve as proof of participation for the Erasmus+ Programme.
