Description

The course is designed to equip educators with the knowledge and skills needed to excel in Content and Language Integrated Learning (CLIL) environments. Over the duration of this programme, participants will delve into a rich array of topics, enabling them to seamlessly integrate language instruction with subject content, fostering inclusive and effective learning experiences for all students.

The course begins by laying a solid foundation with an exploration of the core principles of CLIL. Participants will gain an in-depth understanding of how CLIL methodology not only facilitates language acquisition but also cultivates essential 21st-century skills. Through engaging discussions and practical examples, educators will grasp the intricacies of integrating language learning within diverse subject areas, preparing them to deliver dynamic and engaging lessons that resonate with learners of all backgrounds.

Building upon this foundation, the course delves into the principles of Universal Design for Learning (UDL) and its application within the CLIL framework. Participants will discover how UDL promotes inclusivity by offering multiple means of representation, engagement, and expression. By exploring real-world case studies and best practices, educators will learn to create CLIL lessons that cater to the diverse needs of learners, ensuring that every student has the opportunity to thrive.

Furthermore, participants will analyze the implications of UDL on fostering inclusion and embracing the diversity of students within the CLIL classroom, and they will identify the essential elements that distinguish a quality CLIL learning unit. The course also explores the pivotal role of Learning Technologies and Artificial Intelligence (AI) in CLIL instruction.

Finally, the course concludes with an exploration of the assessment process in the CLIL classroom in order to gain valuable insights into the students' learning journey and inform the instructional practices accordingly.
