Description

The course aimed to train and improve the participants’ skills and competencies to address internet-related addiction and promote responsible digital behaviours, is appropriate for teachers at any level, of any subject head teachers, school inspectors, school counsellors, decision makers in the field of education, trainers. The course aimed for adult education focuses on the development of the participants related competencies and skills such as: teaching/training related skills (e.g. understanding internet addiction and digital well-being, media literacy to critically evaluate online content, self-regulation techniques to help them manage online behaviours, digital counselling skills), and soft skills (e.g. empathy, communication, active listening, creativity, adaptability, conflict resolution).

Learning objectives

The course content is selected based on the most recent and relevant research findings and best practices. Quarter Mediation established clear and measurable learning objectives for the course and ensured they are aligned with the latest educational standards and practices in Europe. The lectures and presentations delivered during the course include references for all course materials, to demonstrate that the content is grounded in credible sources.

 

During the course, the participants will be given the opportunity to:

• Explore the concept of internet addiction

• Get in touch with teaching and training approaches that foster creativity, critical thinking, and self-awareness to address internet addiction

• Focus on strategies for promoting digital well-being and responsible internet use

• Gain literacy skills to critically evaluate online content and make informed choices regarding digital interactions

• Experience activities that help manage online behaviours and reduce addictive tendencies

Methodology & assessment

Quarter Mediation created the course based on the identified learning outcomes, that reflect inspiration, engagement, interactivity, reflection, and new perspectives. The course is defined by clear and measurable objectives and learning outcomes.
The course curriculum incorporates diverse teaching methods and materials to ensure engagement and interactivity. It includes a mix of lectures, group activities, discussions, hands-on exercises, educational visits, and multimedia resources.
During the course, the information and communication technology is used in a modern and interactive way, to enhance interactivity and engagement of the participants. Real life experience and practical applications are included in the course programme to trigger reflection and provide new perspectives. Moreover, the participants are encouraged to apply what they've learned to their own contexts.

Certification details

Certification is in accordance with the Certification of learning outcomes as required by the Quality standards for courses under Key Action 1 (learning mobility of individuals).

    Other costs such as accommodation, meals, transport, and subsistence are not included in the course fee. However, these expenses are covered separately through the Erasmus+ grant, with participants receiving financial support for these items under the respective allowances.
