This course is designed to help teachers collaborate effectively while maintaining their individual teaching styles. It combines theory and practice to explore balancing teamwork in eTwinning schools while preserving autonomy.

Description

The course aims to analyse the challenges teachers face in balancing collaboration with autonomy and provides practical tools to address these challenges. It also offers insights into creating supportive environments that foster teamwork while respecting individual teaching preferences. By the end of the course, educators will be better equipped to collaborate effectively in teams while maintaining autonomy in their classroom practices.

Learning objectives

Throughout the course, participants will:  

 

  • Understand the importance of teacher autonomy in collaboration by engaging in discussions and reflection activities that explore the role of autonomy in effective teamwork.  
  •  Analyse key challenges in balancing teamwork and individual teaching approaches by examining real-world examples. 
  • Develop and apply practical skills for dividing roles and responsibilities effectively by completing activities that simulate the delegation of tasks in a project setting. 
  • Investigate strategies for maintaining individuality in the classroom while contributing to shared project goals.  
  • Demonstrate proficiency in using online collaboration tools to enhance teamwork in eTwinning schools through completing hands-on assignments.  

Methodology & assessment

The course is offered as an asynchronous course with flexibility in regard to when and where participants follow the course content and join the course activities. However, there is a final deadline in place for the submission of a course product. Participants are required to actively contribute to the course activities by sharing their work and submitting a course product. This product is submitted and assessed by peers or the course instructor in the final module of the course.

Certification details

Upon successful completion of the course, a digital course certificate is awarded. The certificate shows the name of the learner and key course details such as the estimated learning hours, the learning objectives, and a link to the course homepage.
