In this course, we're helping teachers adapt to the changing landscape of education by guiding educators in using basic AI tools to enhance teaching without making it too complicated.

Description

Throughout the course, we'll cover the essential concepts of AI in education, and learn about the benefits of using AI in the classroom, as well as its potential risks. Teachers will learn practical ways to use AI tools, not just to make their workload lighter but also to keep students engaged using a student-centered approach.

The course is designed to assist teachers in lesson planning, creating diverse teaching materials, and assessing students effectively using AI. Participants will also gain hands-on experience with AI tools such as Chat GPT as well as AI assessment and feedback tools.

By the end of the course, teachers will not only understand the theory but will have hands-on experience creating tasks and lessons using various AI tools. All the tasks and ideas generated during the course will be compiled into a shared guide, accessible even after the course concludes.

Learning objectives

Participants will:

Understand the basics of AI
Understand the benefits and ethical considerations of using AI in the classroom
Get familiar with various AI tools and applications available for education
Develop differentiated lesson materials integrating AI and the UDL method
Explore how AI can be used to promote critical thinking, creativity, and collaboration
Boost self-confidence in using AI to support student learning and growth

Methodology & assessment

Methodology is based on active participation, hands-on activities and experiential learning suitable and applicable in different subjects and at various levels. Participants will acquire practical knowledge and develop their own skills through workshops, model lessons, collaborative activities and hands-on interaction with ICT tools applicable for learning and teaching.
