This course aims to equip teacher educators from the eTwinning community with the knowledge and tools necessary to harness the power of Artificial Intelligence (AI) in curriculum development.

Description

You will delve into the realms of AI's application in educational settings, AI-assisted curriculum design, the utilization of generative AI in curriculum development, and the ethical considerations of AI integration in education.

 

By the end of this course, you will not only have gained understanding of the integration of AI in curriculum development but also developed the skills to implement AI tools in your educational practices. This course aims to achieve a dual objective: to empower you with the ability to innovate curricula through AI and to foster an ethical, inclusive, and effective educational environment that prepares students for a future where AI is ubiquitous.

Learning objectives

Overall, in this course you will:

  • Develop a foundational understanding of AI and its impact on educational innovation by exploring real-world cases and sharing strategies to enhance content and personalize learning experiences.
  • Explore the use of generative AI for curriculum development and content creation by discussing your experiences, challenges, and successes in implementing generative AI in educational contexts.
  • Critically examine the ethical considerations and limitations in the use of AI within educational settings, with a focus on student performance assessment, risk identification, and accessibility improvement.

Methodology & assessment

The course is offered as an asynchronous course with flexibility in regard to when and where participants follow the course content and join the course activities. However, there is a final deadline in place for the submission of a course product. Participants are required to actively contribute to the course activities by sharing their work and submitting a course product. This product is submitted and assessed by peers or the course instructor in the final module of the course.

Certification details

Upon successful completion of the course, a digital course certificate is awarded. The certificate shows the name of the learner and key course details such as the estimated learning hours, the learning objectives, and a link to the course homepage.
