“When Poems Come to Life” is a creative international project aimed at introducing young learners to the beauty of poetry through performance, art, and cross-cultural collaboration. Pupils from two different countries will choose a popular children’s poem from their own culture and bring it to life through a short play or puppet show. Throughout the project, students will explore rhythm, rhyme, and meaning in poems, while developing their artistic, linguistic, and social skills. They will work in teams to design and create masks, puppets, or simple costumes that represent the characters in their selected poem. Together with their teachers, they will rehearse and perform the poem as a short dramatization, either live or recorded. At the end of the project, students will share their performances with their partner school through video exchange or a live virtual meeting, celebrating the diversity of language and creativity.
