Viae Romanae - The Meaning of Roads in the Roman Empire

In the ancient Roman Empire, roads were much more than simply connections between two towns. Roads had many functions: economical, political, strategic, religious - to name but a few. The pupils participating in this eTwinning project perform research about the meanings of Roman roads. They pay attention to, among others, technical and cultural aspects of this important part of Roman infrastructure.
