• To improve social, civic and intercultural competence by promoting knowledge and understanding of other European cultures, intercultural communication, tolerance, critical thinking and citizen participation/Mejorar la competencia social, cívica e intercultural promoviendo el conocimiento y la comprensión de otras culturas europeas, la comunicación intercultural, la tolerancia, el pensamiento crítico y la participación ciudadana..

• To promote literacy/Promover la alfabetización

• To strengthen digital competence and media literacy/Fortalecer la competencia digital y la alfabetización mediática.

• To discover and respect lesser known cultures/descubrir y respetar culturas más desconocidas

• To foster interest and appreciation for tangible and intangible cultural heritage/Fomentar el interés y el aprecio por el patrimonio cultural tangible e intangible

• Citizenship

Students will develop an interest in socio-economic developments and intercultural communication and should value diversity and respect others, and be prepared both to overcome prejudices and to compromise/El alumnado desarrollará interés por el desarrollo socioeconómico y la comunicación intercultural, y deberá valorar la diversidad y respetar a los demás, además de estar preparado para superar prejuicios y llegar a acuerdos.

• Cultural awareness and expression

Students will understand the cultural and linguistic diversity in Europe and other regions of the world, the need to preserve it. It means appeciating the importance of the creative expression of ideas, experiences and emotions in a range of media, including music, performing arts, literature, and the visual arts/El alumnado comprenderá la diversidad cultural y lingüística en Europa y otras regiones del mundo, y la necesidad de preservarla. Esto implica apreciar la importancia de la expresión creativa de ideas, experiencias y emociones en diversos medios, como la música, las artes escénicas, la literatura y las artes visuales.

• Digitalization 

It includes the ability to search, collect and process information and use it in a critical and systematic way, assessing relevance and distinguishing the real from the virtual/Incluye la capacidad de buscar, recopilar y procesar información y utilizarla de forma crítica y sistemática, evaluando su relevancia y distinguiendo lo real de lo virtual.

• Entrepreneurship

Students will develop creativity, innovation and risk-taking, as well as their ability to plan and manage projects in order to achieve objectives/El alumnado desarrollará la creatividad, la innovación y la asunción de riesgos, así como su capacidad para planificar y gestionar proyectos con el fin de alcanzar objetivos. 

• Literacy

Students will consolidate their ability to express and interpret concepts, thoughts, feelings, facts and opinions in both oral and written form (listening, speaking, reading and writing), and to interact linguistically in an appropriate and creative way in a full range of societal and cultural contexts/El alumnado consolidará su capacidad para expresar e interpretar conceptos, pensamientos, sentimientos, hechos y opiniones, tanto de forma oral como escrita (comprensión auditiva, expresión oral, lectura y escritura), así como para interactuar lingüísticamente de forma apropiada y creativa en una amplia gama de contextos sociales y culturales

• Mathematical

It means applying  mathematical thinking in order to solve a range of problems in everyday situations, but also enabling individuals to better understand the advances, limitations and risks of scientific theories, applications and technology in societies at large (in relation to decisionmaking, values, moral questions, culture, etc.)/Significa aplicar el pensamiento matemático para resolver diversos problemas en situaciones cotidianas, pero también para permitir que las personas comprendan mejor los avances, las limitaciones y los riesgos de las teorías científicas, las aplicaciones y la tecnología en las sociedades en general (en relación con la toma de decisiones, los valores, las cuestiones morales, la cultura, etc.)..

• Multilingual

Students will consolidate their ability to understand spoken messages, to initiate, sustain and conclude conversations and to read, understand and produce texts appropriate to the individual’s needs/El alumnado consolidará su capacidad para comprender mensajes orales, iniciar, mantener y concluir conversaciones, y leer, comprender y producir textos adaptados a sus necesidades..

• Learning to learn

Students will grow aware of their learning process and needs, identifying available opportunities, and their ability to overcome obstacles in order to learn successfully. They will have to organise their own learning, evaluate their own work, and to seek advice, information and support when appropriate/El alumnado será consciente de su proceso de aprendizaje y sus necesidades, identificando las oportunidades disponibles y su capacidad para superar obstáculos para aprender con éxito. Deberá organizar su propio aprendizaje, evaluar su trabajo y buscar asesoramiento, información y apoyo cuando sea necesario..

The project also bears in mind the DECREE 81/2018, of July 19, which establishes the curriculum for the basic A1, basic A2, intermediate B1, intermediate B2, advanced C1 and advanced C2 levels of special regime language courses in the Autonomous Community of Galicia. It contains specifications of the competences, contents and objectives of each level at Official Schools of Languages. 

El proyecto también tiene en cuenta el DECRETO 81/2018, de 19 de julio, por el que se establece el currículo de los niveles básico A1, básico A2, intermedio B1, intermedio B2, avanzado C1 y avanzado C2 de los cursos de idiomas de régimen especial en la Comunidad Autónoma de Galicia. Contiene especificaciones de las competencias, contenidos y objetivos de cada nivel en las Escuelas Oficiales de Idiomas.
