Is there someone in the kitchen?

Related to cooking and eating, this prospective project aims to bring in comprehensive knowledge of cuisines and dietary habits from different countries. It is intended for 14-18 age group, and having professional knowledge of cooking is not a requirement. Some of the activities include introducing dishes from different cultures, sharing recipes among project partners to eventually help bridge those cultures, improving pupils' IT with a focus on web 2.0 tools and language skills so as to give them an opportunity for mutual communication by cooking those dishes. We also aim to find more about the differences as well as similarities between different cuisines, and to emphasize the concept of slow food. Project outline is as follows: preliminary test on different cuisines, preparing project poster and logo, simultaneous and cooperative sessions of giving recipes through videoconferencing (introducing dishes), quizzes, food contests, and final tests.
