Erasmus+ Visit to Valencia video
Feeling thankful for the memorable Jobshadowing experience at Secció de l’IES Conselleria, Valencia, the teachers of Vytina Senior High School have created a video that depicts the outcome of our short but subtantial visit to a city and an Institution that serve as examples to be followed.
Valencia is the European Green Capital for 2024 and is definitely a model city in terms of sustainability and ecological practices.
We had the honor of meeting the General Director of the European Green Capital Mr.Antonio García Celda, who talked to us about the need for citizens to realize that they can incorporate sustainability , just like they have with technology and innovation, in simple ways. We discussed the city's goal to focus on local products and local commerce and the challenges it faces with climate change and pollution, empasizing the fact that Sustainability is a constant need.
Within the context of the project we made educational visits, scheduled online meetings between the students and teachers of the two schools, exchanged valuable opinions and created lifelong connections.
The exchange of ideas and practices, the interaction between students and teachers, the cultural, historical, sustainability oriented elements of a different civilization broadened our horizons and validated our efforts towards more projects such as this.
