The Sustainable Solutions Project (S&S) addresses the pressing issue of climate change and aims to provide both teachers and students with the skills and resources needed to mitigate its effects. Climate change has a wide range of impacts on individuals and communities, including extreme weather events, health impacts, displacement and migration, economic impacts, reduced access to resources, stress and anxiety, cognitive impairment, and depression. S&S has a multi-faceted approach that addresses these effects through its three key priorities: the environment and the fight against climate change, support for teachers and teaching professionals, and the development of key competences. With regard to the environment and the fight against climate change, S&S aims to help students and teachers mitigate the psychological and physical effects of climate change by providing them with the digital skills and resources needed to collect and analyze environmental data. By using this data, students and teachers can gain a deeper understanding of the complex environmental issues driving climate change and develop creative and effective solutions to mitigate its impacts. This promotes a sense of agency and empowerment among students and teachers and fosters a culture of sustainability and environmental stewardship in schools and communities.
