Leonardo da Vinci was born in 1452 in Vinci, Italy, and began his artistic career as an apprentice to Andrea del Verrocchio. In 1482, he moved to Milan, where he worked as an engineer, painter, and sculptor for the ruler Ludovico Sforza. He collaborated with the Milan Cathedral and created works such as "The Last Supper" and the "Virgin of the Rocks. Throughout his life, Leonardo also worked as a military advisor, fortress designer, and developed new painting techniques. He extensively studied nature and conducted anatomical studies. His commissions often remained unfinished, while he offered significant proposals for improving fortifications and defensive systems. In his later years, he faced health problems that limited his productivity. Works such as "The Last Supper" and the "Mona Lisa" represent his exceptional technique and aesthetic. Da Vinci, with his anatomical studies and innovation in painting, is considered one of the greatest artists in art history.
