Znati ulogu vode u organizmu, razumjeti njene transformacije kruženjem u prirodi te koliko je voda važan resurs za život i uopće budućnost. Mnoge zemlje svijeta svakodnevno se susreću s nedostatkom vode za piće. Loša kvaliteta pitke vode uzrok je brojnih bolesti. Jako je važno razviti svijest kod učenika o važnosti očuvanja pitke vode i za buduće naraštaje, racionalnim korištenjem resursa i odgovornim odnosom spram okoliša. Procijeniti važnost osobne odgovornosti i djelovanja za održivi razvoj. Povezati očuvanje okoliša s očuvanjem vlastitog zdravlja.
