Methods and Techniques
METHODS AND TECHNIQUES USED IN OUR PROJECT
With our project, we aimed to provide our students with 21st century skills. That's why we tried to use the methods and techniques we mentioned below.
In this study, which was determined with a multidisciplinary approach (science, architecture, engineering, design), we designed a robot idea by giving our students the 21st century skills of "creativity and innovation, critical thinking and problem solving, communication and cooperation, productivity and responsibility".
Active(Active) Learning:
In all the activities we determined with our students, we tried to prioritize the activities that they would actively participate in.
Critical Thinking:
By preparing activities that will improve our students' critical thinking skills, we have always tried to develop their different perspectives on problems.
Collaborative (Cooperative, collaborative) Learning:
Our students had the pleasure of creating a product together by working in collaboration. Thus, as a team, we tried to raise the awareness of firstly trusting each other and fulfilling their responsibilities in working as a team.
Collaborative classes make learning more interesting. In this project, students had the opportunity to conference online and communicate with other students. We also included our activities based on solidarity that teach students how to work collaboratively.
Creative Thinking:
The more our students think differently, the more it will be beneficial for their environment. Thanks to Blueprint, they learned to think creatively and to gain a different perspective on events and situations. In addition, they presented their unique ideas and products.
Technological Learning:
Our students used technological tools in our project. They studied and learned with various web 2 tools. This improved their technological skills. At the same time, they learned about the safe use of the internet.
Learning by doing:
In our project, we created the chance for hands-on learning for our students, so permanent learning took place. Because especially young students love to learn by doing. We have determined our activities in this direction.
Game Based Learning:
Among all the active learning methods, it is fun for young learners. In our project, we played fun games by taking this situation of our students into account.
Brainstorming:
In this project, our students mostly used the forum to share ideas, get ideas and evaluate them. Here they played their own game. They tried to find a solution by generating an idea for the visuals they asked.
Peer Learning:
It is a great opportunity for students to learn from each other, so they used this method extensively, both in the forum and during the events.
