Neighbours the Podcast

The projects will run for about 6 weeks (preferably mid-may till june/july) and are not very complicated. It is all about language skills and cultural exchanges. Pupils create a Podcast in couples. The basic idea of this project is to practice language skills while getting to know each other. We aim to create a connection between the pupils and to enhance cultural awareness and the development of pupils’ abilities to communicate in a foreign language, share information and connect and collaborate virtually. They create a Podcast about cultural heritage in couples. The activities in this project focus on practicing language skills and sharing "cultural heritage". The term cultural heritage encompasses several main categories of heritage according to UNESCO, among which, are tangible cultural heritage such as movable cultural heritage (paintings, sculptures, coins, manuscripts), and immovable cultural heritage (monuments, archaeological sites, and so on); intangible cultural heritage such as oral traditions, performing arts, rituals, customs, folklore, language, lifestyle and values; and natural heritage: natural sites with cultural aspects such as cultural landscapes, physical, biological or geological formations. Students explore their cultural heritage and explain its significance and values to their partners. Pupils will explore similarities and differences between their cultural heritage.
