Keeping a journal is a great way to document your thoughts, feelings and learning.

Writing a Mindfulness Journal is a way to keep track of the steps of the project. Pupils can write, draw, give their opinions about what they are learning about mindfulness.

One of the easiest ways to implement mindfulness is through journaling.

Why?

  1. It helps sharpen your focus.
  2. It turns your attention inward.
  3. It can be used to increase positive thoughts.
  4. It can be used to decrease negative thoughts.
  5. It is easy to implement.
  6. It has little or no cost.
  7. It can be performed anywhere.
  8. It can be performed at any age.

Part of your journal should be writing, doodling, drawing about gratitude. It can make you more mindful, helping you to become more grounded and also making it easier to notice even more things you are grateful for.

  • By noting what you are grateful for, you can gain clarity on what you want to have more of in your life, and what you can do without.
  • Gratitude journaling can help you find out and focus on what really matters to you.
  • Keeping a gratitude journal helps you learn more about yourself and become more self-aware.
  • Your gratitude journal is for your eyes only, so you can write anything you feel without worrying about judgment from others.
