Europe's main seas - the Mediterranean, Baltic, Black, North, and Adriatic Seas - are crucial for the continent's environment, economy, and culture. However, they face significant challenges today. Pollution, especially from plastics and chemicals, is a major issue affecting marine life and ecosystems. Overfishing threatens biodiversity, while rising sea temperatures due to climate change are disrupting habitats and increasing the risk of species extinction. Coastal development and tourism put pressure on fragile ecosystems, and ocean acidification is affecting marine species, particularly in the Mediterranean and Baltic Seas. Urgent action is needed to protect these vital waters for future generations. Me and the Sea is an exciting eTwinning project that invites schools across Europe to explore the beauty, diversity, and importance of our seas. Through collaborative activities, students will learn about the seas of Europe, their ecosystems, and the environmental challenges they face. This project encourages creativity, intercultural exchange, and environmental awareness while fostering a love for the marine world. Join us in Me and the Sea project to connect with other European schools, share knowledge, and inspire students to become advocates for seas conservation!
