After all, it is no secret that the bond between grandparents and grandchildren is special. Happy grandchildren with grandparents and happy grandparents with grandchildren. The children of the "Žirniukų" group of the "Smalsutis" kindergarten in Panevėžys invited their grandparents to the afternoon "I and my grandparents", where they played, sang and danced together. This is how the children thanked their grandparents for their love and care. On the occasion of the International Day of the Elderly, we invite you to celebrate and admire what great grandparents our children have.
Preschool children from Italy - 2nd ICS O.M.Corbino - Augusta shared their experiences with their grandparents. We told a story of grandparents at a dance party!
Then they prepared a bookmark for their grandparents.

The children say wonderful words - When asked what the elderly need, they answer: Love, Care, Help, Companionship, Not to be alone...

We read Gianni Rondari's book "Tonino l' invisible", which tells about fear, loneliness, isolation, sadness, love and lack of communication, which can knock on everyone's door... At one point the old man says, "No one notices me.An old retiree, all alone, why would the children look after him? I am truly the invisible man to you. ' and the children thought they could do with their grandparents to let go of the feeling of loneliness and invisibility. Friendship, participation, interaction, acceptance, solidarity, love..., interest in the "other important" is the meaning we get...

Etwinning#A little child says a good word#older people's week event
We will organize a special party for grandparents in our classroom, and before this party, grandparent masks were made and presented to them by the children.
In our Etwinning project on "A small child speaks a good word". Our children invited their grandparents to our school for our World Elderly Day event... While the children were having fun with the masks they prepared, their teacher Serap DEMİR and the Deputy Principal sang the songs that our elders loved very much. They danced by cutting a cake in the shape of a tree. Happy grandchildren with grandparents and happy grandparents with grandchildren. The children thanked their grandparents for their love and interest by taking photos in the corner specially prepared for this day. While we were holding our event, our elders were accompanied by our entertainment event and group lessons of our school so that our uncle could reach a wider audience. His students and grandparents attended. Elderly's Day is a good opportunity to commemorate our elders who have established sacred bonds between our past and our present, and who have enabled us to carry our culture to future generations. On the occasion of World Elderly Day, we celebrate and appreciate the great grandparents our children have.

We read a related story on the International Day of the Elderly and talked about it. The children enjoyed recounting the wonderful moments they shared with their grandparents. Then we prepared the grandparents masks. Each child put on the mask they prepared and played the family elder. We had fun moments.

We talk about our families and our grandparents.
Children shared with us beautiful memories from their grandparents.
It was very emotional day.
Then they drew the genealogical tree of their family.
In our kindergarten PRZEDSZKOLE NR 12 W SOPOCIE we celebrated The Day of Elders by preparing special frames. Children can give them to their grantparents as a present (with the kid's picture in it) or they can keep it for themselves with the pictures of grandmas and grandpas (if their grandparents are not alive).
