“Little citizens”
Nowadays, humanity faces a social & environmental emergency. The project “Little Citizens” is aiming to to raise awareness among the involved school communities about social and environmental problems in their area, having as ultimate goal the cognitive and social well-being. The objectives of the partnership will focus on students aged 3-6 years, supporting them to acquire new knowledge and develop their skills. To be more exact, teachers will use innovative methods and techniques (Artful Thinking routines, Freinet little books, PBL, NBL, STREAM activities, storytelling, etc.) to support little learners to detect problems by themselves or as weekend missions with their families in their school neighborhood, to propose ideas and co-decide during mini online conferences with their partners the solutions they would implement through taking action. Based on their research they will focus on disabilities, gender equality, inclusion and peace by interviewing specialists and inviting organizations/NGOs etc. The partners will encourage the connection of well-being with the implementation of 17 Global Goals of Sustainable Development, guiding the involved school communities to alter their daily behaviors. Target groups will learn to anticipate and adapt to the new conditions while cultivating their resilience and perseverance to build a sustainable & inclusive future.
