LINNEO is an Erasmus plus - KA220-SCH - Cooperation partnership in school education that started in October 2022. LINNEO project is framed in the field of Technology Enhanced Learning, and it aims to innovate Natural Sciences (NS) education by creating a web-based platform nurtured with high-quality and engaging Digital Educational Resources (DER) for primary education. It will target two categories of users: teachers and students in primary education. LINNEO main outcomes can be summed up as (i) high-quality and engaging digital educational resources in NSs targeting primary school students, and (ii) an online platform for supporting teachers in its use and to sustain the uptake of innovative methods and tools beyond the project boundaries. In this context, the LINNEO Teacher Training has the purpose of supporting teachers in adopting the digital resources developed through: – an online course for primary school teachers that will remain available for future users. – a set of reusable activities and lesson plans for designing and implementing blended or distance lessons integrating LINNEO digital resources. Finally, LINNEO will foster teachers’ collaboration by creating and supporting a community of primary school teachers built on the e-Twinning platform. This community aligns with one of the principles of successful professional training programmes, which is to encourage the development of teachers’ learning communities (Schleicher, 2016).
